When you walk through the doors of Black Croft Coffee, the first thing you should feel is comfortable. We put a huge amount of effort into the look and feel of our space because we know the atmosphere is just as important as the coffee in your cup. It’s all about creating the right Good Vibes.

Our design approach blends two ideas: Highland heritage and modern functionality. We wanted the shop to feel rooted in Scotland, using natural wood, stone accents, and warm lighting to give the space a solid, welcoming character. This isn’t just decoration; it’s a way of saying, “We belong here, and so do you.”

Crucially, we focused on making sure the seating works for everyone. We intentionally secured a large location at 14 George Street, Oban, so we could provide plenty of seats downstairs and upstairs. This means we have cozy corners for individuals and large tables for groups. The upstairs area, in particular, offers a quiet retreat if you need a place to focus or just want a change of scenery. We never want you to feel cramped, hurried, or that you’re taking up too much space.

This generous layout perfectly supports our core philosophy: Black Croft Coffee is designed to be your favorite local hub, replacing the pub as the natural meeting point in town. We are open 8am to 5pm daily, making us a reliable option whether you’re starting your workday or finishing up afternoon errands.
